EVENT TO BE HELD IN ASSOCIATION WITH NATPE 2010
NORWALK, CT, November 19, 2009 – Three aspiring independent television producers will be invited to pitch their projects at NATPE 2010 to CABLEready, the television industry’s premier independent program representation firm with clients located across the globe, it was announced by Gary Lico, CableU’s president and CEO.
Three program pitches will be selected for the idea’s uniqueness, strength of the pitch, and series viability. The selected producers will receive free registration to NATPE 2010 where they can pitch their non-fiction program ideas to the development team of distributor CABLEready during a dedicated conference session, "Opportunity Knocks – Answer With the Perfect Pitch." The deadline for entry is Wednesday, December 2 and there is no charge to enter the competition.
Lico, who also is a member of the NATPE Board of Directors, commented, “NATPE and our company recognize the enormous number of talented aspiring producers who are seeking an opportunity to put their ideas in front of industry professionals who can assist them in their career development. CableU’s competition along with NATPE’s ongoing outreach to these potential hit-makers is one way that all of us can help emerging talent find a place in our business. This will be the second year in a row that we conduct this session for independent producers attending NATPE, and last year’s winner sold their project to History!”
The winner of the “Emerging Producer” competition will receive a one-year membership to CableU and a possible one-year representation deal from CABLEready.
